So, you are interested in joining the Creation of Tao, journeying down the path towards enlightenment? Well met! This is the first bit of information you should read, so you're off to a formidable start. First, read over our Petition (particularly part 6. Recruitment) and become familiar with its contents. Talk to our members who might answer any questions you might feel are not already answered by the information here and in the Petition. Finally, write a note on the Personal Board to Tao. Tell us about your character, about yourself, and about why you'd like to join Tao. What attracted you to us? Why Tao over other potential clans? And so on... Please address topics in the Petition page, part 6, in your note.

Following your note, Leaders will review your application note and will post a note responding to it, usually within a few days, either declining the application or accepting it and instructing current clan members that they should try to arrange a mutually aggreeable time with the applicant for interviews. At this point it is your responsibility to gain the time (and trust) of Members for interviews. Please be courteous; this is your first task and an opportunity to show that you are someone that they would want in their clan. You should approach members of Tao of the rank of Follower or above when you seek such interviews, since we will begin a vote on your acceptance only after at least 3 Follower Ranks (or above) have posted their impressions of your interview. This clan-wide vote will form the primary basis of our decision. Finally, you may be given an "entrance task"... If all goes well, you will soon join Tao in the journey and seeking of enlightenment.

Lastly, we cannot accept character who have clanned alts. If you have an alt char, he/she cannot be clanned...if this is so, you will not be accepted to Tao.
